This Won’t End Well
I find this scene to be one of the most fascinating though grotesque scenes in Revelation. Hollywood script writers couldn’t come up with a spectacle so riveting and revolting. I can’t take my mind’s eye off the visuals.

War on Two Fronts
Verses 7-12 above depict the second of three defeats that the dragon suffers in Revelation 12. We would never have become aware of this epic heavenly battle had it not been revealed to John in his vision.

This scene is not simply a narrative of the birth of Christ but the full sweep of God’s redemptive story from the serpent’s deception of Eve to Jesus’ ascension to his throne in heaven.
